The WCS Sports Medicine team serves athletes and Sport Organizations with a multi-disciplinary approach. Licensed Physical Therapists are trained to recognize, manage, and prevent injuries that result from physical activity. If injury has occurred, a “hands-on”, exercise based program is performed by licensed Physical Therapists to improve joint mobility, overall range of motion, baseline strength, neuromuscular coordination, and performance. This program is typically performed as early intervention for both pre- and post surgical clients or in the acute phases of an injury. Orthopedic assessment is ongoing and specific objective goals for return to sport are established by the Physical Therapist. Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialists (CSCS) work with the Sports Medicine staff to assist in the transition from rehabilitation to preparation for sport.
